I’m delighted to be the Scottish Youth Parliament’s Head of Strategy and Income Generation after 18 years at Youth Scotland in a variety of roles. Joining SYP has been a significant change, as well as a positive next step.

What particularly appeals to me about SYP is how central young people are to the organisation itself, not just in terms of shaping its priorities and campaigns, but in its leadership and decision-making through the youth-led Board.

Throughout my career, I’ve been committed to improving outcomes for young people and ensuring they have a meaningful voice in the decisions that affect them. A key part of my role is to bring that experience to SYP, working alongside MSYPs and the staff team to strengthen the organisation, build its resources and support its continued growth and impact.
