Our Diversity
Our members reflect the diversity of Scotland’s young people. The diversity of our members means we are able to authentically reflect the views of all of Scotland's young people in all our work.
As part of our commitment to diversity and inclusion, the Scottish Youth Parliament asks all MSYPs fill in an anonymous demographics survey at the start of their term. The results of this survey are compared against the previous SYP membership diversity, and against the latest Scottish Census, to help us understand how representative our membership is.
The results of our 2023-25 membership survey shows us that our membership diversity has increased when compared with the 2021-23 membership.
