Rosy is SYP’s Head of Participation and Programmes, she leads the team working on SYP’s participation, training, elections, events, and project work.

She has been at SYP since 2013 – having previously held the roles of Events Officer, Events and Campaigns Officer and Governance and Events Manager before being promoted to Head of Participation and Programmes in August 2023. Before she came to SYP, Rosy worked in Human Resources, and had various hospitality jobs since she was at high school.

Rosy loves learning, and has recently finished a BA (Hons) in International Studies, but holds several other degrees too. Working at SYP has cemented her passion for youth voice, so she has now started studying for a Masters degree in youth participation – one day, she hopes to do a PhD too!

In her spare time, she love crafts, particularly crocheting and craftivism, and is a big fan of exploring new places. If she can combine travel and crafts, even better!

As a keen volunteer, Rosy has been a member of Girlguiding since she was five, and has been volunteering as a leader for her whole adult life. She currently runs Brownies and Guides units in Edinburgh, working with girls and young women aged 7 – 14.
