As Programmes Assistant, Weronika helps oversee our participation activities, allowing MSYPs and other young people to take part in our work. They will be working alongside the Participation and Programmes Team to support with administration and logistics, particularly for key areas of work such as events and elections as well as other SYP programmes.

As well as working at SYP, Weronika is a Tour Consultant for an Edinburgh-based tourism company, where they also oversee Corporate Social Responsibility, managing donations for and volunteering opportunities with local communities.

Weronika graduated from Edinburgh Napier University with a BA (Hons) in International Festival and Event Management & Tourism. Ever since she’s volunteered for many years as an events administrator and organiser within the third sector and for Edinburgh arts scene. On a weekly basis, Weronika volunteers as a facilitator for a conversation café in Leith and in a Fairtrade social enterprise as an administrator. She is particularly passionate about working with people from marginalised groups that experience inequality.

Outside of work, Weronika enjoys spending her free time lazing about on the sofa with her cat, staying up to date with any and all pop culture news, pulling all-nighters binge-watching niche movies, reading (and trying to join too many book clubs at the same time), learning new languages, and going on long walks along the East Lothian coastline.
