I’m 17 and studying in Fifth Year. Outside of SYP, I help to run my school’s debate team, and like to read or watch TV in my spare time!

I ran to become a Member of the Scottish Youth Parliament because I felt that young people, despite being one of the demographics most dependent on government services, didn’t have enough say in how those services were administered – that conviction remains as strong today as it did when I ran.

Three important issues I’m passionate about: Youth employment, education standards and climate change.

Fun fact: I’m also a member of the European Youth Parliament and am going to Finland for a session in the summer! It’s quite different to SYP.
