Hi everyone, I’m Maya. I’m 19 years old and I’m currently a supervisor in a coffee shop. In my free time I listen to lots of music, play guitar, listen to podcats and I also enjoy reading.

Initially, I applied to become an MSYP many moons ago to gain experience and learn more about how impactful social action can be. However, my main focus now is advocating on behalf of my constituency and creating meaningful change which will hopefully impact thousands of young people across the country.

Three important issues I’m passionate about: Improving the wellbeing of young people in Scotland, women’s and sexual health education reform and increasing mental health support.

Fun fact: My dream destination to visit is Costa Rica to visit one of their sloth sanctuaries.
