Youth Engagement Worker

Hope is a Youth Engagement Worker in SYP’s Participation and Programmes Team. Hope and Zander will be taking the lead on Police Scotland’s engagement with care experienced young people and consulting on the 2024-27 Corporate Parenting Plan.

She is entering her fourth and final year studying Psychology (BSc) at The University of St Andrews, and hopes to go on and study Forensic Psychology at Master’s level. Hope is the first in her direct family to go to university and is really enjoying the course.

At university, Hope was the women’s cricket captain this year, and she really enjoys crocheting and baking in her spare time. On her travels over the last year, Hope backpacked in Iceland and spent time in Wales.

Hope is currently volunteering with LGBT Youth Scotland’s Mental Health Youth Commission and the Voices Unheard Project.
