As Policy and Public Affairs Manager, Philippa works with the team to develop, implement and evaluate policy and public affairs in line with SYP’s Strategic Plan. This includes planning activities to deliver SYP’s National Campaigns and ensuring that all our young people’s voices are heard and represented at all stages of decision-making. 

She have previous experience working in policy and public relations within both the private sector and third sector, as well as Masters degrees in Media & Strategic Communications and Politics & International Relations. One Masters she completed in Scotland and the other she completed when living in Washington D.C, USA. 

Outside of work, Philippa plays and coaches field hockey with an Edinburgh club and enjoys her pub quiz every week (her success rate is actually quite high!). She also volunteers with the Royal Air Force Air Cadets – now as an adult officer, but previously as a cadet for 7 years.
